What is Dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning is a safe and non-abrasive exfoliation treatment. This treatment helps to gently remove excess dead skin and vellus hair from the surface of the face. The benefits of dermaplaning are increased product penetration, smoother skin, reduced appearance of scarring and fine lines/wrinkles, removal of trapped dirt and oil, and an instant glowy appearance to the skin!

What is a Microdermabrasion?

A Microdermabrasion is a form of manual exfoliation where we use a minimally abrasive instrument to gently “sand” your skin. This treatment helps to decrease the appearance of sun damage, light scarring, hyperpigmentation, fine lines/wrinkles, and dead/dry skin. The only difference between this and Dermaplaning, is that Microderm doesn’t remove any peach fuzz, only dead skin.

What is Nano-Infusion?

Nano-infusion is a non-invasive transdermal serum delivery system that treats the upper layers of the epidermis. It is designed to rejuvenate the skin and treat various skin concerns. This treatment is fully customizable to the clients skin type and conditions.

Nano-Infusion helps to stimulate collagen production, reduce the appearance of scarring, instantly rejuvenate the skin, help to minimize fine lines/wrinkles, improve the skin’s texture and even out skin tone.

What exactly is a HydraFacial?

HydraFaical works to uncover a new layer of skin with gentle exfoliation and relaxing resurfacing. The HydraFacial treatment is concluded by saturating the skin with antioxidants and peptides that help to maximize your glow!

What is the difference in the various Hydrafacial treatments?

A Basic Hydrafacial includes all of the main steps of the Hydrafacial treatment: Cleanse, Extract and Infuse.

The Deluxe Hydrafacial is a "step up" and includes more steps that allow us really personalize this treatment for you! In addition to the basic steps, the Deluxe Hydrafacial also includes a Booster and LED light therapy.

The Glowing Hydrafacial includes all of the basic steps plus dermaplaning, a booster and a Hydrojelly mask.

The Studio B Hydrafacial includes all of the basic steps plus dermaplaning, a booster, LED light therapy, lymphatic drainage and a Hydrojelly mask.

What is a Hydrafacial booster?

A booster is a concentrated “super serum” that is packed with active ingredients. Boosters are infused into the skin during select Hydrafaical treatments, and are able to target a variety of concerns. Whether your concern be fine lines/wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, acne, dehydration, or inflammation, we have a booster for you!

What is LED Light Therapy?

LED Light Therapy converts light energy into cellular energy. LED Light Therapy comes in two different light forms: Red Light and Blue Light. 

Red LED Light Therapy helps with reducing inflammation and increasing collagen production. This treatment is great for clients in need of anti-aging because of its ability to lessen fine lines and wrinkles. 

Blue LED Light Therapy helps to kill P. Acnes bacteria. This treatment is great for clients who struggle with acne and inflammation caused by acne. 

What are the benefits of a chemical peel?

Chemical peels help to reduce the appearance of dull/dead skin, hyperpigmentation, fine lines/wrinkles, clogged pores, blemishes and age spots.

Enzyme peels are the exact same concept as chemical peels, except that they are formulated with enzymes instead of acids. They can have the same effects on the skin, but are much more gradual and gentle. We sometimes recommend our clients to start out with enzyme treatments before graduating to chemical peels.

When can I get a chemical peel?

Chemical peels are recommended to get during the fall or winter time of year.

We require our clients at Studio B to be on a professional skin care regimen for at least two weeks before receiving a chemical peel. We also require that our clients commit to wearing a sunscreen of at least SPF 30 or higher everyday in order to receive this service. Chemical peels can be very harsh on the skin if the skin isn’t properly prepared and maintained during the process.

What is the difference between Dermaplaning/Microderm and a Chemical Peel?

With a Microdermabrasion or Dermaplaning treatment, we are manually exfoliating the skin with a tool. With a Chemical Peel, we are using products that contain acids or enzymes to do the exfoliating.

What is the benefit of combining Nano-Infusion with Dermaplaning?

Nano-Infusion + Dermaplaning (Studio B Facial) is a MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN! When paired with Dermaplaning, the Nano-Infusion of serums is able to penetrate the skin more effectively because of the dead skin and hair being gone!

How often should I get a facial treatment?

We recommend getting facials monthly. Our skin cells naturally regenerate every 28-30 days. It is best to get a facial on the same schedule as our cellular regeneration so that we can help increase the cellular turnover rate and work on those problem areas.

On top of regular facial treatments, we also recommend committing to a professional, at-home skin care regimen. You have the opportunity to apply high quality, corrective products to your skin everyday, where we are only able to do so once a month (or less). If monthly facials is not in your budget, we would much rather you invest in good home care products to use every day rather than paying close to that same amount for just one treatment.

How do I know what facial I need?

If your main concern is clogged pores, we recommend any Hydrafacial.

If your main concern is dead skin/hair, we recommend the Glowing B Facial, Glowing Hydrafacial, Studio B Facial or Studio B Hydrafacial.

If your main concern is fine lines/wrinkles or aging, we recommend BioRePeel, any Hydrafacial, The Nano B Facial or Studio B Facial.

If you are short on time and need a quick cleanse, we recommend the Mini B Facial or Basic Hydrafacial.
